I recently lost my mother. Actually, I never "lost" her, I know where she is...kinda.
I believe in heaven I am just not sure if there are pearly gates but more of a diamonique encrusted gate and no one really cares or needs them to open or shut because you can fly. The gates are just there as a way to show that this place surrounded by diamonique encrusted gates is heaven.
Anyway, my father is very lonely as he lost his other half and is not well himself. I could talk about Andy Rooney eyebrows and difficulty swallowing but the real $hit deal is that you end up alone because everyone you care about is already dead like your mom and dad and siblings. Yeah, you may have children but they are busy with their own live, 500 miles away and in the middle of a nasty divorce.
So, you sit around all day which sounds great when your 30, but God has endowed you with all this wisdom that comes from living life, takeing a bite out of that $hit sandwich everyday and getting up again the next day for another tasty morsel. And what good is that wisdom? You cant communicate worth a crap and no one under 45 is even listening!! Penny candy wisdom is all you get in this life and it's just what it sounds like! The good stuff evolves and you de-evolve into a droopy, sloppy, grummpy, floppy, wrinkled thing with lots of hair growing out of your ears. yes there are many who contribute with sound minds well past 85 but who cares? they still look like $hit!!!
I used to think that if I tried my hardest to stay thinking young--I could pull it off. You talk young and hang around with the young--the Peter Pan syndrome. But Mr Micheal J ruined all that!
All I really believe now is that The band The Who got it right, with there smidgeon of penny candy wisdom, when they sang "...hope I die ''fore I get old"
~My Generation.
